Mountain Honey

Natural honey whose produced between the months of May and October in the southwestern mountains of Asturias, in the natural park of the “Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña e Ibias”. Collected in the month of September. Pollens from heather, oak and chestnut are predominant.

Mountain honey has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and antirheumatic properties

COLOR
Amber – dark amber with reddish tones.

SCENT
Floral, moderately persistent.

TASTE
Salty, sour and bitter notes.

FEEL
Slow crystallization.

Crystallized honey is a sign of its quality. To decrystallize, gently heat it below 45º to avoid damaging its properties. The ideal storage for honey is at room temperature, in a cool and dry location

GASTRONOMIC USES

This honey pairs very well with medium-ripened cheeses, sautéed mushrooms and vegetables. It is also a good dressing in salads.
