Forest Honey

Natural honey produced in the southwestern mountains of Asturias, in the natural park of the “Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña e Ibias”. This honey is collected at the end of summer. It has the presence of oak raw honey, chestnut, heather and calluna vulgaris (youtube).

Forest honey has antioxidant properties. Ideal against pulmonary conditions

COLOUR
Dark amber.

SCENT
Floral, intense and moderately persistent.

TASTE
Bitter with salty notes.

FEEL
FEEL Variable crystallization, slow if the presence of oak raw honey is high.

Crystallized honey is a sign of its quality. To decrystallize, gently heat it below 45º to avoid damaging its properties. The ideal storage for honey is at room temperature, in a cool and dry location

GASTRONOMIC USES:

This honey pairs very well with strong cheeses, pickles, blue fish and roast meats.
