Natural honey whose majority composition comes from the nectar of the flowers os Madroño (Arbutus unedo), a species of shrub belonging to the Arbutus genus in the Ericaceae family. It is a bitter honey produced and collected in autumn/winter in the southwestern mountains of Asturias, in the natural park of the “Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña e Ibias”.
The flowering of the Strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) takes place in late autumn and winter, coinciding in time with the ripening of the fruits from the previous year’s flowers
